We made our first Million Dollar Bill tract last year featuring Jerry Seinfeld. After we made that tract many people asked us to make more million dollar bill tracts. But, we didn’t have any idea whom to put on it. Recently while watching TV I saw an add for the fourth “minion movie” D3. Over the years, I’ve gotten a lot of laughs watching the Minions in the Despicable Me movies. The term “minion million” just kind of flowed. So it seemed like a good idea to make a Million Dollar Bill tract with a Minion on the front!
The back of the tract reads:
In the Despicable Me movies,
villains compete to see who can be the “most despicable” by pulling off the greatest heist. The contest escalates from movie to movie to see who is the biggest villain. Most people take the opposite approach, trying to rate themselves as “good” by comparing themselves to others – they can always point to someone they are “better than.” The Bible states that there is no one that is good; because goodness is not determined by comparing oneself to other people but rather to God’s perfect standard – The Ten Commandments. Based on the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20), how would you do? Ever lied? Whether it’s white lies, fibs, or exaggerations, you’d be a liar. Ever stolen anything? Whether it’s a MILLION DOLLARS or a penny, you’d be a thief in God’s eyes. Ever murdered anybody? Before you answer, consider that “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15). Ever hated? If so, God sees you as a murderer. Innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Picture yourself in a courtroom. You admit to breaking these laws. You are fined $1 million. You don’t have the money. The bailiff begins to lead you off to jail… Suddenly, a complete stranger (like the person who handed you this bill) steps in and pays your fine. You are free to go! How would you feel? This is a picture of the Gospel. God does not want you to go to Hell (1 Timothy 2:4). Two thousand years ago, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to earth. Jesus, being fully God and fully man, had no sin, lived a perfect life, fulfilled the Law and then willingly became the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. He died on a cross to pay for your sin (1 John 2:2). Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin, death and the devil. Don’t be like the villains in the movie. Even breaking one commandment makes you guilty (James 2:10). Repent (turn from your sin) and believe the Gospel, God will forgive your sin and give you eternal life (Mark 1:15). www.AfterLifeCatalog.com 80-BEZEUGEN (802-393-8436)
